I am a forgetful sort. I can’t remember names, dates – all those abstract things. I’m much better with visuals, but the fact remains that I cannot be sure when I buy a brand of beer, I can’t remember whether I’ve had it before, and whether I liked it.
Next, let me tell you about the wine shop at Queen Victoria Market. It used to
just sell wine, Swords wine in the resusable bottles – nice enough if you like wine, but I’m afraid it’s all lost on me. Red wines give me a headache and white wines, well – there’s a time and a place, but when I come home from work, or am doing a bit of cooking – wines just don’t cut it. Well, anyway, the wine shop now stocks beer… LOTS OF BEER. Not lots as in quantity, lots as in variety, loads of little boutique breweries have their deletcable products on sale. For some time now, I’ve been meaning to start working my way through the selection – the start of a beautiful journey.
So, here it is, the beer blog. A journey celebrating Australia’s boutique breweries and a record to help my failing memory – how good is that? I’m not an expert, but at least I can try to sound like one!
